New Finds: Roots and Herbs Cafe

Roots and Herbs

Our family loves to eat at Tramway and we saw this new coffee shop. We didn't try it the first time we saw it.

Then I tried it with a friend and ordered their malunggay coffee and it's so good!


So I also ordered the #DIY MilkTea which is so good! I love it!


The shop is cozy, the staff are friendly and the restroom is clean :)

I give this place 5 stars! :)

FamilyFirst: Another Sunday Tummy Bonding

Every Sunday I hear mass with the whole family and then we eat out. Normally mom would say, "I want sisig or Chinese food...". But that time mom asked for something different, she's craving for "pasta!".

Then I told mom, I know just where to go :)

CPK has this package for Php 999.00 and you already have starter, pizza, pasta and drinks!

The food is satisfying. The staff who took our order is friendly and accommodating. Serving is fast. Toilet is clean. Air-conditioning is great! :)

RestoReco: (Vietnamese) Pho Hoa

Went to work early to prepare for whole day meeting and then I felt the need for FOOD! :p

Craving for something not fast food but not too fancy... Then I decided to go Vietnamese - Pho Hoa!

I think I really love Asian food so Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese dishes are my go to for comfort food :p

I ordered Grilled Pork & Fried Spring Rolls with Rice and Minced Chicken & Mushroom with Lettuce Wrap.




Pho Hoa has generous serving and really delish! Price is also affordable.

RestoReco: (Chinese) Mann Hann

Our family loves Chinese food (I think it's a default to Filipinos, anyway). But specifically for our family, we love Chinese food because first mom is a Chinese, second it's affordable and can really cut your hunger :p

Mann Hann is one of our go to Chinese restaurant!

I cannot recommend anything in particular because we love everything that they serve...

But on this post we ordered: Lechong Macau (Mom's fave aside from sisig), Pork Spareribs (define carnivorous :p ), crispy noodles (my sister's fave), Pork Noodles with seaweeds (my other sister's fave) & Rice with dried fish.

Oh by the way, beware of the long line :p

Movie:
My friend is a CERTIFIED Kapuso so he asked me if I can accompany him for a movie. I asked what movie - Seduction he said. So I said, go! Who will say no to seeing Richard G. in his first matured film.

So the approach of the movie is artsy fartsy Mr. P. Gallaga really knows how to extract the best from his actors.

Munch:
I discovered this place from a friend. They recently just got married and received a lot a Sodexo GCs as a gift. So very understandable that we scout for place accepting SGC for payment :p

So I first went to Chili's GH and I loved their food!

So last night my friend is craving for a non fast food place to dine. So I suggested Chili's and as expected, my friend loved it too!

Serving size is enough for two, taste is great and customer service is good.

The rest room facility can be improved though...

But to sum it up, my visit here is sulit as always :)

M&M (Movie & Munch): LM + MK Midnight Munch

So finally was able to catch Les Miserables! Thanks to my friend @tamthegreat for immediately jumping into the plan :)

And so I earned the following stickers:





Yes I'm on GetGlue using the same user handle (too much for social network, I know :p)

I believe to many articles, blogs have been made available for this and most of those are super hyped and overrated...

For me the movie is good but not super good ;p

But I love Anne here, she gave all her acting and kudos to her.

So after the almost 3 hours movie, we felt a need to munch and where else if you are near West ave :p

Mister Kebab



My all time MK fave - Special Chicken Kebab!

Order the special (2 pcs) instead of the regular (1 pc). The difference is just like php20.00 :p

This place is memorable to me... Memories of college friends, friends from my first work, friends from high school, relatives and most specially my family... Mom is really a fan of Mediterranean food so she is 2 thumbs up for MK!

I rated my visit 4 because the pita bread that they serve me is cold... :(

First Time to meet Johnny ;)

This was my first time in JR and I'm glad I did (thanks to my boss for encouraging me to try)!

I was avoiding this resto because I'm getting not good feedback from some friends that the food is not good and it's a bit pricy...

But my experience is good!

The burger is love! Not dry but not oily... Perfectly done! I also love their potato wedges (which you can upgrade to unli refill just add php60.00).

The milkshakes are also good! They are using real strawberry (preserve though) and the texture is really smooth :)

CS is also great! The waiter is very accommodating and friendly.

I'll definitely go back here! :)

Saturday Birthday Dinner

Galileo Enoteca


I actually never thought that there's this Galileo in Eastwood until my friend invited me to attend his boyfriend's birthday dinner.



The food is okay, a bit pricy but my friend was able to hit my fave food in the bulls eye! They also have good wine selection.

The ambiance makes you feel you are inside an old Italian resto... Though they should improve on the lighting because it's too dark inside...



The customer service is great, attentive waiters and they serve with a smile but they should improve on maintaining the CR.

Overall, the place can be perfect if you want to avoid a crowdy place and if you want to make it as a venue for small gathering... They allowed us to bring in cakes and some dessert without corkage.
